Mortehoe

Mortehoe is a fantastic place to visit year round, with things to see and do every season, especially if you enjoy walking and admiring beautiful scenery. The village itself is delight to the eyes, with old stone cottages and a magnificent church. The rich history of Mortehoe adds to the allure. You can learn more about this at the local museum.

Our Mortehoe holiday cottages are close to wonderful coastal and countryside walks, beautiful, peaceful beaches, panoramic ocean views, a golf course with amazing views across the Bristol Channel, cosy pubs and the village shop!

There are larger towns and supermarkets nearby to stock up on food and drink for your self catering holiday in charming Mortehoe.

Easwell 9 hole golf course is only a 15 minute walk up the road from our Mortehoe accommodation, so bring your own clubs, or you can hire equipment from them, and take in the picturesque setting in between teeing off, or putting a win!

Take a walk around the mighty Morte Point and take in the awesome sea views and cry's of gulls, whilst the waves smash the rocks below. Summer, or winter it is a site to behold. Admire a summer sunset with a refreshing drink, and watch the sun drop behind Lundy Island. Or, go for a blustery winter walk, and marvel at the power of the Atlantic ocean, crashing against the cliffs and sea spray everywhere.

There are two delightful beaches not far from our cottages, Combesgate Beach and Rockham Beach. Take a stroll down the hill to Combesgate and enjoy the peace and tranquillity it offers, even at the height of summer. Find a sun trap against a rock during summer, or watch the waves role in and dissipate on the sand. The walk to Rockham Beach is beautiful, with high lush cliffs, and a good chance of seeing the local seals. Rockham Beach is dog friendly all year round, making Mortehoe ideal for a dog friendly holiday.
