Whilst we can’t claim to have visited each and every restaurant, as locals, we have certainly done our fair share of eating out in Woolacombe! So we can safely say that you’ll find a superb selection of restaurants and takeaways during your stay here. Local Restaurants
Restaurant NC, Woolacombe
You’ll find the critically acclaimed restaurant NC (Noel Corston) just around the corner from our Woolacombe office.
The restaurant offers a seasonal fixed-tasting menu, using fresh North Devon produce wherever possible. Guests enjoy a unique dining experience in a rustic setting, with front-row seats to the culinary theatre of the kitchen, as dishes are prepared and presented in front of them on an open kitchen island.
This beautiful space has been designed to seat just eight guests and the restaurant offers just one sitting per evening. It’s extremely popular, especially in the Summer months, consequently, it’s essential to make a reservation as early as possible!
The Beach House Restaurant, Woolacombe
With stunning coastal views and a cosy, laid-back environment The Beach House in Woolacombe is a firm local favourite. The menu regularly boasts fresh Devon Crab, Lundy Lobster and River Fowey Mussels making it our tip for seafood lovers when on holiday in North Devon.
The menu does extend beyond seafood, with an ever-changing specials board catering to all tastes and dietary requirements.
The bar area and terrace also provide a great spot to relax and enjoy a drink while taking in the spectacular Woolacombe sunset!
The Jube, Woolacombe
Family-friendly pub The Jube is one of Woolacombe’s hidden treasures, serving restaurant quality food at pub food prices the whole family will feel right at home in The Jube’s comfortable relaxed atmosphere.
Good food, real ale, and friendly staff make this a great place to go for lunch or dinner, and whilst there it would be rude not to try one of their fabulous cocktails!
Further Afield
The Masons Arms, Knowstone
A little further afield from our base here in Woolacombe, (but in our opinion well worth the drive!) you’ll find The Michelin star Masons Arms, one of the finest rural eateries in the UK.
Set in a thatched 13th Century Inn on the edge of Exmoor, close to the main Atlantic Highway link from the M5 to North Devon, this award-winning restaurant is a real treat for foodies.
The Masons Arms perfectly combines the warmth and charm of a local village pub with some of the finest menus seen in our region, offering seasonal and exciting modern British cuisine using fresh, local produce. A Michelin Star holder for fifteen consecutive years tells you all you need to know about this little gem.
Takeaways
Barricane Beach Cafe
This small hut on Barricane Beach is a must whilst visiting North Devon in the Summer months. The cafe is renowned for its curry nights where Sri Lakern curries including vegetarian and vegan options can be enjoyed on the idyllic Barricane beach.

Woolacombe Bay Burger & Pizza Company
Located in South Street, Woolacombe, the family-run Woolacombe Bay Burger & Pizza Company has been serving up delicious pizza and gourmet burgers for nearly 15 years. With a wide selection of takeaway food including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, all made using locally sourced ingredients it’s a great choice for a night in.

Woolacombe Fryer
It wouldn’t be a holiday in North Devon without Fish & Chips! The Woolacombe Fryer offers fresh Cod, Haddock, and Plaice all cooked to perfection in their special batter. They use locally sourced potatoes which are freshly prepared onsite and never reheated.
